This
conference will highlight practical aspects of veterinary oncology such
as breaking the news to clients, and managing chemotherapy side effects
and cancer pain. We will discuss alimentary tumors in dogs and cats and
we will bring up the latest options for dogs with melanoma,
osteosarcoma, hemangiosarcoma and other difficult to treat
cancers. Finally, we will review the basics of radiation therapy:
the different ways that it can be delivered as well as which tumors
respond best to this treatment modality and how to handle the side
effects from radiation.
