The pathogenesis of a Mycobacterium paratuberculosis infection in cattle is described. Basic principles and practical strategies for control and prevention of Johne’s disease in dairy and beef cattle herds are presented.

  2. Why the animals develop diarrhea and weight loss,
  3. How to avoid introducing M. paratuberculosis infected animals into a herd
